Longer Lasting Restylane Results
0NORTH DALLAS and PLANO, Texas /PRNewswire/ — You loved your very first Restylane dermal filler injection results which lasted as long as promised and filled beautifully, but several months later you look in the mirror and see those old lines and wrinkles creeping back in. Bear in mind that if you have a second treatment within four-and-a-half to nine months of your first, you will get your Restylane(R) beauty results back – and this time you may keep them up to eighteen months.
Jeffrey Adelglass, M.D., F.A.C.S. of SKINTASTIC Medical and Surgical Rejuvenation Center in Plano, Texas has been telling his Restylane(R) patients this for years, even before a recent clinical study proved him right. “When you give thousands of cosmetic injections, you start seeing trends, after awhile”, Dr. Adelglass says. “I noticed with my earliest Restylane(R) patients, that they were scheduling further and further out as they received repeated treatments; eventually I realized that they were getting better and better results, and they just didn’t need to come in as often.”
The study results, released October tenth in a press release by Medicis, the manufacturers of Restylane(R) and Perlane(R) dermal fillers, were from a study monitoring the duration of Restylane(R) when used in the nasolabial folds (the deep folds that form from the nose to the edges of the mouth).
“Study results show that getting a re-fill sometime between the four-and-a-half and nine month marks can give you much better ‘filler-mileage'”, says Dr. Adelglass. “The body doesn’t absorb the next treatment as quickly as the first. Now the two treatments can last as long as eighteen months. It’s as if you were getting a third treatment for free, without the extra injection visit … better yet, you get to hold on to that youthful look!”
Dr. Adelglass adds that although clinical studies won’t be conducted for common ‘off-label’ Restylane(R) uses, such as for lip enhancement, liquid filler-facelifts (volume-filling), under-eye troughs, filling in the backs of the hands, and other parts of the body, these encouraging study results suggest that Restylane’s longevity potentially may be improved by reapplication in those areas as well. Would a third Restylane(R) treatment in the same area, say, at the twenty-one month mark stretch the treatment results even further? “Well, that’s for another clinical trial to prove”, Dr. Adelglass is careful to add, “but based on my experience working with the Restylane dermal filler, I think that is very possible.”
Experience counts. Dr. Adelglass was the first Texas physician to recently achieve simultaneous Triple-Platinum status with Medicis, the makers of Restylane(R) and Perlane(R) injectable H.A. fillers, and Diamond pinnacle-level status as a Botox(R) injector. Dr. Adelglass is a member of the Star Program – a select group of cosmetic physicians specially-trained to work with new Evolence(R) collagen filler, and is a Radiesse(R) medical education panel member. He currently serves on the scientific advisory boards of most, if not all U.S. dermal filler companies, as well as the National Education Foundation for Allergan, instructing other cosmetic physicians to safely administer Botox(R) using his well-honed injection techniques. Dr. Adelglass is an official training instructor for SmartLipo(TM) laser body sculpting, the DOT Fractional CO2 skin resurfacing laser, ArteFill(R) non-resorbable, and Juvederm injections, and is a distinguished clinical researcher. With his level of experience, it’s no wonder that many of the representatives of these companies, with all their available options, select Dr. Adelglass as their own cosmetic physician of choice.
